Tye Murphy

Director

Hi I’m Tye, I have 15 years of experience in the building industry.
When you build with Murphy James Builders you will deal with me throughout the build phase of your project as I will be your project manager. I still love being on the tools and teaching our team everything that I know. I enjoy the challenges that come with building and enjoy problem solving with our trades and team. I am trustworthy, honest and reliable. I take pride in instilling confidence in clients that I will deliver a job with a high attention to detail.

Away from work my time is spent with my partner Shannyn and our two sons Ollie and Reuben. Anytime spent with them is great. Simply spending quality time together at home, weekends away or planning things for our future. I still play football and enjoy the mateship and release it gives me. In summer I enjoy fitting in the odd game of golf.

Daniel James

Director

Hi I’m Daniel, most people call me Jamesy so feel free to call me whichever you feel like.
When you get in touch with Murphy James Builders you will initially deal with me as I will guide you through the process right up until the signing of the contract. You will still see me onsite though as I am still on the tools and take great pride in performing quality work whilst also teaching our apprentices in all things building.

Away from work I enjoy getting down to the local footy to watch my mates have a kick, I used to play but injuries caught up with me. I don’t mind driving down to watch Essendon play a couple times a year. In the warmer months I enjoy getting out on the golf course for a hit. I love travelling whether it be around Australia or overseas. I have two daughter’s Millie and Izzy, most of my spare time I enjoy watching them grow up and just spending time with the girls and my wife Cassie.

Nathan Duggan

Lead Carpenter

Hi, my name is Nathan Duggan. I am a qualified carpenter and have been working in the building & construction industry for the past 15 years.
I enjoy being a part of the Murphy James team as we both share a passion for high quality work and attention to detail. Outside of work I enjoy playing footy and the odd round of golf. In my role at Murphy James Builders, I aim to consistently exceed the expectations set by both the clients and directors.

Rory O’Keefe

Qualified Carpenter

Hi my name is Rory O’Keefe,
I started my apprenticeship with Murphy James builders in June 2020 and have continued on after finishing schooling and becoming a fully qualified carpenter. This opportunity has been one of the best decisions I have made; being able to do what I enjoy every day and meet and work with some great people. I enjoy being out in the sun and playing a wide range of sports in my spare time. I am a cheerful and fun bloke who always loves a good laugh. I always have the drive to give 100% no matter what I’m doing. I enjoy being on the worksite and putting in as much effort as possible so I can learn the best and most effective ways to complete all jobs big or small.

Macauley Griffiths

Apprentice Carpenter

In 2022 I followed my passion and signed up to an apprenticeship with Murphy James Builders.
I have loved my first few years working with a great team of lads who are helping to teach me new skills, each and every day. I am looking forward for everything to come! In my spare time I love watching and playing sports. This has made me a competitive person who is always striving to be the best I can be, in all facets of life. I love to learn and be hands on, which I’m hoping makes carpentry the perfect job for me.
